(A) MiR-126 mimic and NC mimic transfected cells were stained with propidium iodide (PI) and the DNA content was analyzed by flow cytometry. The number of cells in each phase was calculated using ModFit software. The results shown in the bottom graph were representative of three independent experiments (*P<0.05). (B) HT-29 cells were transfected with 50 nM miR-126 mimic or negative control mimic for 48 h. The percentage of apoptotic cells (Annexin V positive) relative to the total measured cell population is shown in the bottom right quadrant of the upper panel. The results were expressed as fold change relative to the corresponding NC mimic (bottom graph). (P>0.05, compared to that of NC mimic). Data are presented as mean ± SEM of three independent experiments.
