Evaluation of ascorbic acid and garlic effects on the number of lead- induced DNs per unit area in CA1, CA3 and DG regions. The DNs in CA1, CA3 and DG hippocampus subdivisions increased in the L Group significantly compared to control group (*P<0.01, +P<0.05, #P<0.05 respectively).
