Attentional modulation around the time of the target change in trials when this was the second stimulus change that occurred. The format is the same as in Figure 9, but showing LFP gamma-band power (A) and firing rate (B) aligned to the time of the target change in those trials when the target changed after the distracter had already changed. The colored lines show the average response when the attended target was inside the RF (red line) or outside the RF (blue line). Note that there is a negative attention effect preceding the target change (i.e., in the time interval when the distracter was already changed; see Fig. 11), but that a positive attention effect emerges again in response to the target change (see Results).
