Aβ42 inhibits NSPCs proliferation and high-dose induces NSPCs apoptosis. (a) Cell viability assay (CCK-8) showed that Aβ42 suppressed NSPCs viability in dose- and time- dependent manners. The number of newly formed neurospheres (b) and the size of newly formed neurospheres (c) were reduced significantly in Aβ42-treated NSPCs. (d) NSPCs were treated with the indicated concentrations of Aβ42 for 5 days, apoptotic cells were analyzed with Annexin V-FITC kit by flow cytometry. The effects of Aβ42 (0 or 10 μM) on the NSPCs apoptosis are shown. (e) The percentage of apoptotic cells was calculated by Annexin V+/PI and Annexin V+/PI+ together.
