Table III. Free amino acid content and relative TCA- and glycolysis-related metabolite contents in flag leaf of wild-type and transgenic PSARK::IPT plants grown under control and water-stress conditions.

Values are means ± sd for each compound and were calculated from semiquantitative data that were scaled with respect to the median response observed for each metabolite and in which null values were imputed with the minimum observed value. Six individual plants were used per genotype/treatment. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA followed by Student’s t test. Boldface values indicate significant differences by genotype (P ≤ 0.05); asterisks indicate significant differences by treatment (P ≤ 0.05). BDL, Below detection limits; DW, dry weight.
