Population differences for each specific FA were compared with Wilcoxon paired‐sample signed ranks tests, with samples matched to lactational stage. Significance values are q‐adjusted P‐values obtained using the FDR method to control for multiple comparisons. 24:1n‐9 and 22:4n‐6 did not always separate during analysis and are reported together.
