Recommendations for the management of nonhematologic AEs.

AE	Treatment recommendation
Fatigue	Administration of 250−500 ml of saline prior to receiving carfilzomib can help prevent or reduce fatigue; an additional 250−500 ml can be given, as needed, following carfilzomib administration
Infections	Antiviral and/or antibacterial prophylaxis are recommended, especially for patients with a history of herpes virus infections or who are at risk for urinary tract infections or pneumonia
Gastrointestinal AEs	Antinausea medication may be recommended prior to carfilzomib dosing
