Yeast DNA embedded in agarose plugs was digested with AflII (A) or BglII (B). Digested DNA was separated in neutral conditions in the first dimension. In the second dimension, DNA was run in either neutral (left gel) or alkaline (right gel) conditions. Southern hybridization was done as described in Figure 2.
