Using immunohistochemical anti-nitrotyrosine stainings we detected only small amounts of nitrotyrosine in solvent treated normoxic controls (A). In contrast significantly higher amounts of nitrotyrosine were detected in BEC exposed towards MHR in a cytosolic perinuclear manner (B). Pre-treatment with DPI blocked nitrotyrosine formation after MHR (C). Representative images from 3 experiments are shown.
