After the ECMs were treated with heparinase II [hepa, (Sigma, USA), 50mU/mL, 37 ℃, 8 h) and PBS washing, the ventricular cells were seeded on the ECM, then the metabolic activity of the cells was assayed after 3 days of growth. The treatment of hepa reduced activities of Na+/K+-ATPase and SERCA (A), decreased the glucose consumption and lactic acid production ratios (B), lowered LDH activity and SERCA2a protein levels (C, D). *P<0.05, ** P<0.01, between indicated groups, n=7.
