Viral titers (log10 p.f.u./mL) of COAV997 and COAV997-5nt were serially 10-fold diluted. All five bases of COAV997 (CTCTCC; black triangles) and COAV997-5nt (TTGAGT; gray triangles) were individually called and matched to the imported reference sequences. Peak proportions were calculated for each base as the proportion of total chromatogram peak area or height yielding values between 0.0 and 1.0.
