The GnRH regulates the mRNA levels of PACAP (A), PACAP receptor (PAC1; B), and GnRHR (C) in dispersed adult male rat pituitary cells. Cells were treated with 100 nmol/L GnRH analog for 6 or 24 hours and harvested for total RNA isolation. The mRNA expression levels were determined by real-time PCR using Taqman gene expression assays with those of the control samples set as 1.0 at each time point, respectively. Bars represent the mean ± standard error of the mean of each treatment group (n ≥ 3). Bars at the same time point with different letters vary significantly (P < .05).
