The initial temperature distribution T0(r) just after the laser pulse is Fourier transformed (FT). The time evolution of the Fourier series coefficients can be described similar to the mean value of an Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process (Eq. 7). The temperature distribution T(r,t) after a time t is then calculated by an inverse Fourier transform (IFT)
