Fig. 1 — Evolution of dhfr N51I/C59R/S108N and dhps mutation prevalence after expanded SP use in Thies, Senegal. The prevalence of the dhfr mutant alleles for both 51I/59R and 108N increased significantly between 2003 and 2011 (Fischer’s exact, p = 0.0002). Dhps mutation individually fluctuated (no significant change) between 2003 and 2011 (Ndiaye et al., 2005), (Daniels et al., 2012).
