Incorporation of [1,3-3H]-glycerol into DAG, TAG and glycerophospholipids in wild type (WT), DGK± KO and DGKε KO mouse embryonic fibroblasts. Wild type (WT) and DGKδ-KO mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) were incubated with 4 μCi [1,3-3H]-glycerol/dish for 24 h and radioactivity incorporated into DAG (A), TAG (B), or major glycerophospholipids (C), determined as described in Materials and Methods. The results are also expressed (D) in terms of percent of the total 3H incorporated that is found in each of the lipid species. These results are compared with those obtained from DGKε KO mouse embryonic fibroblasts and their corresponding sibling WT MEFs (E, F). Results are presented as the mean ±SD. * - values are statistically different with level of significance indicated. CL:cardiolipin.
