Phycoerythrin fluorescence vs. time, chronic PO₄³⁻ limitation reconnaissance study. Error bars are one standard deviation of triplicate 28 mL tubes. Note that no PO₄³⁻ added treatments, both with and without Zn appear to have a stationary phase. 1 μM PO₄³⁻ treatments appear to have a brief stationary phase and then enter death phase, the Zn dying faster than the no Zn. The 5 μM PO₄³⁻ treatments fluoresced to a greater maximum than the 65 μM PO₄³⁻.
