Effect of varying
a lipid-to-pDNA ratio on the transfection efficiency of cationic amino
acid based lipid assemblies compared to LA2000. The total amounts
of pDNA per well are (A) 0.4 μg and (B) 0.8 μg. The concentrations
of lipid are (A) 2, 6, 10, and 14 μg/mL at the lipid-to-pDNA
ratios of 1, 3, 5, and 7, and (B) 4, 12, 20, and 28 μg/mL at
the lipid-to-pDNA ratios of 1, 3, 5, and 7, respectively. Data are
shown as means ± SEM of three or more replicate experiments.
Statistical significance was determined by a two-way analysis of variance
(ANOVA) (*P < 0.05).
