To compare the distribution of patient characteristics by use of traditional healers, we employ chi-square tests.
Similarly, we use a two-sample rank sum test for continuous variables by use of traditional healers.
Continuous variables are reported as medians (interquartile range).
Note that 50 MZN or meticais equaled US$2 at the time of the 2009 survey.
