A. Cardiomyocytes were transduced with either Ad-LacZ or Ad-Nox2 in the presence or absence of Ad-DN-Nox, and the cellular level of O2− was evaluated with SOD-inhibitable lucigenin chemiluminescence. *P<0.05, N.S. not significant. B. O2− production in the LV in systemic Nox4 KO mice, as evaluated with dihydroethidium (DHE) staining, was significantly decreased after injection of Ad-DN-Nox adenovirus. *P<0.05. C and D.
