Persistence of the sneeze reflex after bilateral microinjections of 5 mmol/L clonidine into the cNTS in one anesthetized spontaneously breathing rabbit. The sneeze reflex was induced by mechanical stimulation of the nasal mucosa (filled bars) before (control) and ∼20 min after the completion of the bilateral microinjections, that is, when the cough reflex was abolished.
