Representative photomicrographs of H&E-stained histological sections of untreated xenografts and xenografts treated at 1, 4, and 7 days were obtained. A PALB2+/− cell line had a heterozygous PALB2 mutation, and PALB2−/−1 had a homozygous PALB2 deletion. Black arrows indicate apoptotic bodies/debris; red arrow, a ballooned cell with disorganized chromosomes; white arrow, a multinucleated cell in PALB2−/−1. By contrast, no morphological changes were seen in treated PALB2+/− tumors.
