Chromatin immunoprecipitation assay shows stronger binding of USF2 and pol II to the promoter of hAT1R gene from the kidney chromatin of TG mice containing haplotype I as compared with haplotype II. A and B show the PCR amplification of immunoprecipitated DNA from the two haplotypes in the presence of antibodies against USF2, pol II, and IgG (mock control). Non specific primer shows amplification using nonspecific primers from a region not containing the respective binding site. C and D show the relative band intensities for both the haplotypes for USF2 and pol II ChIP assays that were normalized to the band intensities from the input DNA. Error bars are S.E.
