Activity of IAA and OxIAA in Root Elongation Assays.
Root elongation was measured after treating 5-DAG wild-type Arabidopsis Col-0 seedlings with different concentrations of IAA and oxIAA for 3 d. IAA effectively inhibits root elongation in concentrations below 1 μM. At these concentrations, oxIAA has no effect on cell elongation in the root. Error bars indicate se (n = 12).
