Activity of OxIAA in Auxin Transport Assays.
Competition of oxIAA (10 μM) with the accumulation of [3H]2,4-D or [3H]NAA, as markers of active auxin influx and efflux, respectively, is shown using suspension-cultured tobacco BY-2 cells. OxIAA did not compete with labeled 2,4-D or NAA for carrier-driven transport across the plasma membrane. Ethanol (EtOH) was used as a control. Error bars indicate sd (n = 4).
