The GUV was enhanced with respect to the lipids PE and PC. Two methods of enhancement were applied, an asymmetric enhancement through lipid incubation of the outer lipid leaflet of the vesicle membrane and a symmetric enhancement which was accomplished by changing the lipid composition of the starting material during GUV formation and therefore also the MLV.
