IRF4fl/fl mice were infected with 1000 PFU of either MHV68-Cre or MHV68-WT virus intranasally. On day 16 post infection, splenocytes were analyzed by limiting dilution analyses to determine (A) the frequency of virus capable of establishing latency and (B) the frequency of virus capable of reactivating from latency.
