Tone-burst ABR test results of four groups of mice across a frequency range of 4k to 32 kHz. Hearing thresholds of WT and cCx26KO mice, either treated or untreated with virally-expressed Cx26 are given as labeled in the figure. The relatively high hearing thresholds at higher frequencies (e.g., 24-32 kHz) were caused by the acoustic property of the speaker and the tube connecting the speaker to the ear we used in experiments.
