Iso and Carv recruit the ERK phosphorylation response via distinct pathways. HEK293 cells stably expressing similar amounts of S⁴⁹G³⁸⁹-, G⁴⁹G³⁸⁹-, or S⁴⁹R³⁸⁹-β₁ARs were pretreated for 30 min with vehicle AG1478 (AG, 10 μM), PP1 (10 μM), or H89 (10 μM) prior to a 5 min challenge with 1 μM Iso, 1 μM Carv, or EGF (100 ng/ml).
