Right shoulder viewed from posterior viewing portal. In the setting of a retracted subscapularis tear, the medial sling tears away from the bone with the subscapularis tendon. The medial sling forms a distinctive comma-shaped arc of soft tissue (blue comma) at the superolateral corner of the subscapularis.
