A schematic representation of the principle conclusions; IL-15 is not required for tumor growth but is required for tumor immunity, IL-1α is more abundant and tumor growth is accelerated in the absence of IL-15, and therapies that target IL-1 and/or promote cell-mediated tumor immunity should be explored in lymphoma or other malignancies.
