The predicted ETS family member binding site is important for the activity of MEIS1 promoter. Point mutations or deletion of individual predicted transcription factor binding sites were introduced into the original promoter construct as indicated on the left and assayed for promoter activities by luciferase assay as shown on the right in K562 cells.
