Characterization of photosynthetic parameters. (A, B) Concentrations of photosynthetic pigments. Chlorophyll (A) and carotenoids (B) were extracted from the leaves of 2-week-old plants grown under SD or CL conditions in the growth chambers (see “Materials and Methods”). The mean and SD values were obtained from more than five biological replicates. The same letter above each bar indicates that means are not significantly different at the 0.05 level as determined by ANOVA. (C) Immunoblot analysis of chloroplast proteins. Total protein was extracted from the leaves of 2-week-old plants of equal fresh weight, and extracts were subjected to SDS-PAGE.
