The expression patterns of BNIP1 (A–C), BNIP3 (D–F) and BNIP3L (G–I) in developing embryos (E16, A, D, G), post-natal day 12 (P12, B, E, and H) and adult (C, F, and I) brains. Embryos were parasagitally cut, and post-natal/adult brains were horizontally cut. At least two independent sections from different individuals were examined, and typical images are shown.
