The effects of Pax6 on osteocyte marker genes and proliferation. The expression of osteocyte marker genes was analyzed with RT-PCR or real-time PCR. (A-C) Effect of siPax6 on osteocyte marker genes. RT-PCR and real-time PCR analysis showed significantly decreased expression of Sost and increased expression of DMP-1 and E11 in siPax6 transfected cells compared to control siRNA transfected cells. (D-G) Effect of Pax6 overexpression on osteocyte marker genes. RT-PCR and real time PCR analysis showed significantly increased expression of Sost by Pax6 overexpression compared to empty vector transfection.
