Effects of 0.5 μM IVM on WT and mutant P2X4Rs. Application of 0.5 μM IVM potentiated the ATP-activated currents in P2X4Rs. Aromatic W46 substitution with other aromatic residues, W46Y or W46F, did not affect the direction or the degree of IVM effect compared to the WT receptor.
