Combined disks contained 10 μg imipenem and 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, or 4,000 μg cloxacillin (CL). A >5-mm increase in the inhibition zone in the presence of cloxacillin relative to the imipenem disk without inhibitor (left) is indicative of the absence of carbapenemase activity.
