After urgent closed reduction and provisional stabilisation with tibiometatarsal external fixation, radiographs (a, b) showed a rough reduction of displacement and alignment. Two weeks later, when the soft tissue had recovered, definitive ORIF was performed. Radiographs (c, d) showed that anatomical reduction and alignment had been obtained. The subtalar joint was fixed by a Kirschner wire for 6 weeks, and the rupture of the anteroinferior tibiofibular ligament was fixed by a rivet.
