Illustration of decreasing effect on survival of high Cripto-1 protein expression score with increasing age. Survival functions and hazard ratios were estimated from 171 patients with primary glioblastoma, who were operated at Haukeland University Hospital in the period from 1998 to 2008, by a Cox regression model with interaction term between age and Cripto-1 score (likelihood test P = .006). The Cox regression plots illustrate the survival for individuals with the age of 40, 50, 60, and 70 years, respectively, as estimated by the Cox regression model.
