HAFs were transfected with caveolin-1 siRNA or a non-silencing negative control siRNA using Hiperfect transfection reagent following protocols provided by the manufacturer. After 48 h of incubation the cells were harvested for protein extraction. Not that the caveolin-1 siRNA suppressed the protein level of caveolin-1 by 46% compared to control group.
