Progression-free survival in 139 patients for whom data were available at the time of the study. Cases of postoperative mortality were excluded (n = 5). Numbers of events were, respectively, 57 in the R0 group and 27 in the R1 group. Patients in whom an R0 resection was achieved had a significantly better outcome than those in whom an R1 resection was performed (at least one positive margin according to the 0-mm definition).
