PBMC were activated with phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) and ionomycin for 6, 12, 24 and 48 h. The relative expression of cytokines and transcription factors was measured by quantitative reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction (qRT–PCR). Genes expression at least a 2-fold change was recognized as being significantly altered and in bold type.
