Brush injury | Rabbit is killed |
Abbreviation: OCT, optical coherence tomography.
Rabbits underwent suspension laryngoscopy with induction of epithelial injury using a stiff-bristled brush, which led to the development of subglottic stenosis. Endoscopy and OCT imaging were performed on rabbits in days 0, 3, 7, 14, 21, and 42. Histologic images correlate with the day that the rabbit was killed.
Rabbits in this arm were also imaged with endoscopy and OCT on post–brush injury day 35.
