Pre-treatment arterial phase CT scan (2a and 2b) shows an enhancing mass in the right lobe of the liver. The follow-up scan performed 4 weeks after TARE (2c and 2d) demonstrates an increase in tumor size but more than more than 80% of its volume is necrotic with the only viable tumor seen as a nodular enhancing area along its inferomedial margin. Despite of the increase in tumor size, this qualifies as a favorable response to treatment.
