qRT-PCR analysis of CLDN1 mRNA expression in tumor samples of different CP patients. The arithmetic average of 14 analyzed papCP mRNA samples was set as the reference value. Subsequently, each of the 19 analyzed adaCP cases was compared with the normalized expression in papCPs. We revealed significantly lower overall CLDN1 mRNA expression levels in adaCPs compared with papCPs (P = .0008) (Fig. 2A).
