Data, empirical SFS of NR; model I, a two-parameter model with one epoch of growth, where the duration of growth and final Ne were estimated; model II, an extension of Model I with a third parameter corresponding to Ne before the growth epoch; model III, a model with two separate epochs of growth (Table 1). For clarity, model IV is not presented because its SFS is very similar to that of model III.
