Expression analysis of glycoprotein hormone (A) GPA2 and (B) GPB5 subunit transcripts by qRT-PCR. Both subunit transcripts have significantly higher abundance during the adult developmental stage. Moreover, adult males show marginally higher levels of each transcript relative to adult females although this difference was not significant. Expression of each subunit was graphed relative to expression levels in 1st instar larvae.
