The control photomicrograph shows the normal architecture of the alveolar process with thick bone trabecula and small medullary spaces. Photomicrographs of the experimental groups (sham, collagen, EGF and NGF) show a fragmented alveolar process consisting of thin bone trabecular and wide medullary spaces.
