Cultured hepatocytes were treated with resistin (50 nM) for 24 h prior to adding glucose (30 mM), with or without insulin (100 nM), for 30 min. Glycogen content was measured by the anthrone-reagent method and are expressed relative to the level seen in the untreated cells (column 1). Data represent the means±S.E.
