Wild-type and α7 nAChR knockout mice were exposed to cigarette smoke for 21 days and then infected with H9N2 virus. The body weight changes were monitored for 14 days. Results represent mean ± SEM. N = 4 and n = 6 for α7 nAChR knockout and wild-type mice respectively. *p<0.05 was determined by multiple regression analysis adjusted for time.
