Solubilized membranes in 20-HCl pH 7.6, 5% glycerol, 1% DDM were oxidized using 1 mM potassium ferricyanide and reduced by adding few grains of sodium dithionite. Membranes were isolated from aerobically grown cells harvested in the exponential phase of growth. The concentration of proteins was 11 mg.mL⁻¹. The spectra were recorded at room temperature. The vertical bar indicates the absorption scale.
